Inside CD cover

Experimentation

Decisions Decisions

We're having difficulty arranging shoots because of the amount of members in the band that we want to use. 2 of the members aren't able to make some of the shoots because of work, college etc. In order to solve this, we have discussed our options and have come to the decision that we will only be using 3 members now.

Mock web page draw up

Fonts, images, Buttons

Here are several fonts that we took interest in. Some are Blink 182's own fonts and we hope to adopt their style into our own design. We can see that their lettering is always informal, as though it has been scribbled which represents the pop punk genre. We find that a lot of bands always choose to have their font style in capitals to make it stand out more like All Time Low's.

Here are a couple of fonts that we generated ourselves online which we hope to use as templates for our website design.

Youtube, Facebook and twitter will be linked on our web page so that the audience can keep updated on our band.

.
We have decided to use skateboards to underline our navigation buttons

Recce 4 - Nottingham Market Square

Location Address - Nottingham City Centre

Date - 6th Dec All Day

General description: For the whole improvisation aspect of out music video, we decided to use Nottingham city centre as our main location and its surroundings.  Here, we can video out band doing things to amuse the audience and we hope to capture them off guard so it doesn't look like it's acted but it's real life. This is the most busiest place in Nottingham but this will help the shots to look more natural so people will not be a problem.

Power Supply: NO

Lighting: During the day, Market Square is lit very well and also at night but we hope to get the majority of the shooting done during daylight hours.

Sound and Noise: There will be a lot of sound and noise in this location due to people and vehicles etc. This won't be a problem as in the shots, there will be no syncing to the track and it will not be heard in the video.

Health and Safety: It is relatively safe, there will be no trip hazards, fire hazards, machinery and street crime is rare.

Site Evaluation:

Suitability: 10/10
Public Usage: 10/10
Power Supply - 0/10
Space to Move - 10/10
Lighting - 7/10
Sound and Noise - 0/10
Health and Safety - 8/10

Permission Required? NO

Recce 3 - Studio

Location Address - Photography studio in Bilborough College

Date - 13th Dec 13:20pm

General description: For our 3rd chorus we needed a location to contrast with the less mature aspect of the video (park scene) so we decided on something that had a mature approach. The photography studio was perfect for this as there is a white background which will make the band members stand out while they are performing in it. It also has a bland and boring aspect to it which we associate with matureness. There may be public usage as the photography work room is just around the corner and students may need to come in to finish work but we can ask permission to have the whole room to ourselves if need be.

Power Supply: YES

Lighting: There is plenty of lighting and because it is a photography studio and we have access to lights within our college, lighting will not be a problem.

Sound and Noise: There will be no sound if we can get the whole room to ourselves but noise may be heard from the corridors but this will not be a problem because the sound will not be heard in the video.

Health and Safety:

Because the Studio is so plain, there is nothing in it besides plug sockets that the lights will be plugged into. This will be the only hazard so all we need to do is tape them down.
